Sunday Driver play Cambridge Rhythms of the World festival

The Cambridge Big Weekend - does what it says on the tin

What better to do on the most beautiful weekend of the year than play a gig in the glorious sunshine? On Sunday, Sunday Driver played on the main stage at the Cambridge Big Weekend/Rhythms of the World festival on Parker’s Piece.

It was a great gig – fantastic crowd, good sound, and the debut of our new tabla player Amit.

Here are a couple of videos shot by my friends Fred and Sarah in the crowd – thanks ladies!

I even got to be onstage briefly with Punjabi MC! I was desperately trying to pack my harp up and get it offstage as he started his set. Very embarrassing.

The view from Parker's Piece - glorious weather

All in all, a great gig and a great start to Amit’s tenancy with us. Here’s to many more!

  1. Love Joel’s disembodied head at about 1:25 mins through the Black Spider video….
